Our Wines "Alsace"
This is our first range of wines.
These wines are the grape variety signature.
They should be drunk young.

Edelzwicker
A.O.C (French quality wines)


Type : dry white wine. Assembly wine (15% Riesling, 60% Auxerrois, 25% Muscat).


Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).


Comment for the 2016 vintage: The nose is frank and open on white flesh fruit. The attack is soft and the palate is fruity and crunchy, refreshing.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C .This light wine is ideal as an aperitif, on its own or in a kir. It also goes very well with finger food.


Best consumed: within 2 years.



Sylvaner Vieilles Vignes
A.O.C (French quality wines)


Type: dry and light white wine.


Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).


Terroir: Deep clayey terroir. Old vineyard (60 years old) on a cold and heavy soil on a east exposure and a late maturity. This situation allows a nice aromatic complexity and keep a good acidity level.

Comment for the 2016 vintage: Dry and straight wine, typical of this grape variety with honeysuckle and beeswax notes. It is a rustic and thirst-quenching character wine. A lemony and floral attack with a powerful structure. The final is long and reveals mineral notes.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C . Perfect with oysters, it is just as wonderful with other shellfish, but also charcuterie, smoked trout, light appetizers and young goat cheeses.


Best consumed: within 3 to 4 years.






Pinot Blanc Auxerrois

A.O.C (French quality wines)


Type: dry and light white wine. Based 95% on Auxerrois and 5% Pinot Blanc


Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).


Comment for the 2016 vintage : Tasty wine with light smoky and white flowers notes. The attack is generous, straight and frank thanks to the acidity coming from the terroir. Then a pleasant acidity in the finish. There is toasted and ripe flavour in the palate. Perfect wine to discover Alsace wines : fruity, dry and never too lively.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C . It pairs well with simple dishes, cold starters, egg based dishes (omelettes, quiches, soufflés), and vegetarian cuisine.

Best consumed: within 3 to 4 years.




Muscat
A.O.C (French quality wines)


Type: dry and light white wine. Based 50% on Muscat d'Alsace and 50% Muscat Ottonel.


Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).


Comment for the 2016 vintage : Open nose, typical of Muscat with its just ripe grape aromas. The attack is fresh and sharp. t This wine is straight with a smart expression.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C. Ideal as an appetizer and in warm weather with its light et refreshing bitterness. This wine is an excellent pairing for buffet meals, light starters, quiches Lorraine and of course white asparagus.  


Best consumed: within 3 to 4 years.


Riesling
A.O.C (French quality wines)

Type:  dry white wine

Sweetness : 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).

Comment for the 2016 vintage : Open nose on white flower and white-flesh fruits (peach, apricot) aromas. Sharp attack,full-bodied with floral aromas in the palate. Long and mouth-watering final. Well- matured acidity.
Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C. Riesling is an excellent food wine. It has a natural affinity with fish and shellfish, either grilled or with a lemon sauce, but also as a carpaccio or a lime ceviche.

Best consumed : within 4 to 6 years.


Pinot Gris

A.O.C (French quality wines)


Type : semi-dry white wine


Sweetness : 2 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).


Comment for the 2016 vintage : Intense and open nose on white-flesh fruits (pear) aromas, lightly smoked. Full-bodied in the palate and well-balanced thanks to acidity with pear and mirabelle plum flavor.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C. This gourmet wine is perfect to accompany veal kidneys, meat or fish starters, lobster and crayfish, mushroom dishes (pan-fried girolles, mushroom risotto) but also white meat (lamb navarin with spring vegetables).


Best consumed : within 4 to 6 years.


Gewurztraminer

A.O.C (French quality wines)

Type: semi-dry to sweet white wine

Sweetness: 3 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).

Comment for the 2016 vintage: Typical gewurztraminer nose with orange peel and spices aromas. Intense in the palate balanced by a fresh acidity. Preferably drunk between 8 and 10 ° C. This is a gourmet wine that can accompanies veals medallions, fried foie gras, sweet and savoury dishes, but also spicy dishes.

Pinot Noir

A.O.C (French quality wines)

Type: red wine

Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).

Terroir : From two different parcels: one being planted with young vines on a late clayey terroir and the second planted with old vines on a warm clayey-silty soil.

Comment for the 2016 vintage: This wine opens up on a strong nose of red fruits like ripe cherries. Round, full-bodied and fruity on the palate, with a pleasent tannic structure.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 15 and 16 ° C (slightly cool), it is a relaxed wine, ideal for summer barbecues, pork chops but also with Marengo veal and osso bucco.

Best consumed: within 6 to 8 years.




Crémant



A.O.C (French quality wines)

Type: Extra-brut Sparkling wine (40% Pinot Noir - 60% Auxerrois)

Sweetness: 1 (scale from 1 = dry to 5 = liquor-like).

Terroir: long aging on laths (24 months).

Comment for the last vintage: The nose is fresh and aromatic. The bubble is fine and elegant. Dry and refreshing in the mouth with light roasted flavours.

Food and wine pairing : preferably drunk between 6 and 8 ° C. It is ideal as an aperitif.

Best consumed: within 3 to 5 years.
